What it exists to do
Het bevorderen van ondernemerschap onder studenten, jong talent en startende ondernemers, door ondernemerschap zichtbaar en toegankelijk te maken als een vanzelfsprekend loopbaan pad.
To promote entrepreneurship among students, young talent and starting entrepreneurs, by making entrepreneurship visible and accessible as an obvious career path.
In practice that is a season of free public talks by the founders of operating companies, hackathons and build nights, and a small accelerator for students building something of their own. Nothing in the programme costs a student anything.
Independence
Kickoff is its own legal entity with its own board. It runs its programme on and around the TU/e campus and works with people there, the Knowledge Transfer Office among them, but it is not a department of the university and nobody at the university runs it. It sells no services: the programme is paid for by its partners and sponsors, and given away.
