What we keep, and why.

What we store

When you create an account: your name, email address and school. We use these to create your member profile and send sign-in links.

When you save a seat: which talk, and which seat you were given.

When the team checks you in: the event, check-in time and team member who recorded it. Verified attendance determines your membership tier. A reservation alone does not count as attendance.

What we do not store

We use passwordless email links or Google sign-in. Kickoff does not ask for or store your Google password.

No payment details. Nothing on this site costs money.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics tools. Essential cookies keep you signed in. The archive loads the YouTube player when you choose a recording.

Why

To let you in, to keep the record on your profile up to date, and to hand TU/e the attendance list a MyFuture point requires.

We email you about talks. Nothing else, and never a sponsor's message.

Who else sees it

Supabase provides authentication and database hosting; Resend delivers emails; Vercel hosts the website. If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes that sign-in. Playing an archive video connects your browser to YouTube.

Authorised team members can access membership and attendance records. We share the attendance information needed by TU/e to administer MyFuture points. We do not sell your information or share member lists with sponsors.

How long

We keep your member information while you are a member. You can ask us to delete your account and attendance records. Deleting those records also removes the membership tier based on them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of everything we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the board and we will do it. Under the GDPR you can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
